About
My name is Luke. I’ve been a professional software engineer since 1994 but I have been programming since the mid/late 80’s. I currently live in Sydney/Australia where I work as an in-depended web-developer and software consultant.
My expertise ranges from low level systems programming in the early days with C and assembler (x86, ARM & MIPS) to application programming with languages like Java and C++. In 2001 I stumbled by accident on this thing called Flash and since then I have been specializing in the Flash Platform and the Actionscript programming language in particular.
Other than ActionScript and web development, I have an interest in open source, software architecture and software design, Object Oriented Programming and design patterns, Linux (mostly Ubuntu & Debian), Java & J2EE, Eclipse, UML, version control and many many more things.
I hope the ramblings on this blog might be useful to you and that you will enjoy reading the articles and other posts that I have prepared for you. If you feel the need to contact me, then you can do so by sending email to: opject@gmail.com
